About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

There are too many stupid people for any meaningful mitigation. Our grandkids are just fucked...and many of you just don't care.
^^A1^^

I find that kind of humor very funny.
^^A2^^

^^A3^^

Oh, FUCK!
^^A4^^

Remember my $57 or 57 days judgment?
^^A5^^

Those posters are showing up all over New York.
^^A6^^

Those are the Band of Brothers guys.
^^A7^^

Boy, that brings back some memories.
.

.
.
"Brings back"...memories.
^^A8^^

Last words of Nazis executed at Nuremberg:

Alfred Rosenberg - Nazi philosopher and head of occupied eastern territories.

When asked if he had any last words he said,

"No."

THAT'S TRUE!
^^A9^^

Why do we have to stick a giant Q-tip halfway up someone's brain when a drop of spit can infect someone from six feet away?

^^B1^^

Brown hyena (Hyaena brunnea)., also called Strandwolf.

A species of hyena found in Namibia, Botswana, western and southern Zimbabwe, southern Mozambique, and South Africa. It is currently the rarest species of hyena. The largest remaining brown hyena population is located in the southern Kalahari Desert and coastal areas in Southwest Africa.

I've stitched hundreds of leather projects without the aid of such a jig.
^^B4^^

Slip fit vacuum suction on a bore.

^^B5^^

^^B6^^

The oldest doors in Rome, dating back to 115 AD. Human for scale.

It needs a banana for scale.
^^B7^^

Shooting burning Napalm up to 170 yards

How much do you have to hate somebody to do that to them?
^^B8^^

^^B9^^

Dry-dock

I found it very interesting that when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor they didn't destroy the fuel depots or the dry docks. It was opined that this omission allowed America to get back in the war.
I would argue that Japan didn't destroy them because they planned on taking the island as their own and would need those facilities. Their plan was foiled because the aircraft carriers survived.
^^B10^^

Notice missing roof.

Is that a full-on fucking American Flag... in the living room?

All those crosses and still God smites you.

Seriously, a hurricane damage study was done that demonstrated that hip roofs survived much more often than gable roofs.

Further, the most vulnerable point was garage doors.
Once a 100mph wind breaches the garage doors it has to get out someplace and very often that exit is the roof.

"I can't wait for going to the movies to be legal again" are words I never thought I'd hear myself say.

WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT

^^C1^^

Speaking of...
^^C2^^

My wife's surgeon is also a fighter pilot in the Air National Guard. During her last appointment, he had a brace on his neck. When asked, he explained he got whiplash on a fair ride.

PS: I find it very interesting that with that story to tell I stumble across that image and caption.

^^C3^^

Muhammad Ali dodging 21 punches in 10 seconds.

Reminds me of my toddler when I'm trying to brush her hair.
^^C5^^

^^C6^^

I'm thinking that occurred because part of the spinal cord remained in the fillet. Anybody know for sure?
^^C7^^

Are you glad to see me or...

Is that a dog in your lap?
^^C8^^

74 years old and I've never seen a chicken do that.
^^C9^^

It's all fun and games until the blow-up deer falls over...
^^C10^^

You know you're fucked when the priest shows up dressed like that.

^^C11^^

Speaking of getting fucked, that's my bride and I back when my dick still got hard...
^^C12^^

That looks like the balsa gliders my mom would buy me almost every time she went to the store.
It has since occurred to me that my mother's largesse may be credited to the fact that the toys had to be played with outside...while she stayed inside.
^^C13^^

PUT SOME SOCKS ON THAT KID!

Don't you just hate it when you're trying to eat a butterfly and its wing patterns resemble eyes that are begging us not to eat them?

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

If you came upon this would you exercise caution?

Well, you should have...

Straight out of Final Destination

^^D1^^

But some wire mishaps just aren't your fault...
^^D2^^

It's a Goose/Gander issue.
^^D3^^

I don't see any damage to the front of the truck. I'm assuming that the load shifted due to emergency braking.
But they make flatbed trailers with front restraints to keep the load out of the cab.
I think they should be standard.
^^D4^^

Obviously not very familiar with snow.

^^D5^^

An observant cameraman would move to the side a bit to avoid such embarrassment.
^^D6^^

I FINALLY FOUND A CLIP OF US HIGHWAY 50!!!
That is the highway that scared the shit out of me. Notice the loose gravel 12" shoulder and lack of guardrail.
^^D7^^

They provided no explanation for that but I have my own idea...
^^D8^^

The bull shark, please leave.

They’re hyper-aggressive and transition from saltwater to fresh easily.

^^D9^^

I couldn't but notice how ineffective the small woman cop was.
^^D10^^

"Why aren't other people riding bikes down here?"
I ALWAYS ask myself questions like that.
^^D11^^

Tesla Model 3 Cameras Catch Rear-End Collision

Am I the only one who slows down depending on road conditions?
^^D12^^

^^D13^^

I held the best until the last.
In case that doesn't load
I think you will find it worth your time.
