About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

 One Of My Very Own

My wife hates when I spend money on take-out and loves to complain while she’s eating the onion rings I just paid for.

GET LEARNT

That is literally my worst nightmare.

I read that they put a truckload of cement into the entrance and sealed the cave...with his body still inside.

*BTW I think I would opt for having chunks of my body cutaway until they could drag what was left of me out.

^^A1^^

It's an inflatable concert hall by Anish Kapoor.

New Electric Propulsion Engine For Spacecraft Test-Fired in Orbit For First Time

^^A4^^

The surprising find has never shown up in nature before and reveals secrets about the earth’s mantle.

^^A5^^

A guy and his tent got stuck in a nine-day incredibly brutal winter storm.

Terrifying.
^^A6^^

It's just so silly. Within reason, every fucking one of those judges, lawyers, and jury members have at least tried weed.

^^A7^^

"Put me in the game, coach!"

^^A8^^

"A new study shows that cannabis use in pregnancy can be tied with increased anxiety, hyperactivity, and aggression in children. The study is one of the first to look at these questions in people, not animals like sheep or rodents. Genes related to inflammation were not as functional in placental tissue exposed to cannabis, researchers found. One outside source in the story commented that care needs to be taken to account for other explanations for this observation."

^^A9^^

^^A10^^

Oh, I think they calculated that into their estimate.

^^A11^^

Guess what these are.

Water chestnuts.

^^A12^^

I'm not real sure how that could be an evolutionary plus. Toucans are omnivorous. In the wild, they eat a variety of foods including a multitude of fruits and berries plus lizards, rodents, small birds, and an assortment of insects. So, how is that beak advantageous?

^^A13^^

Between Target, Amazon, and Walmart, I like Target best because I have no idea who owns it.

See anything...odd?

^^B3^^

I think stores should have had a daily Funniest Mask of the Day contest. It would encourage usage and lighten things up.

^^B4^^

I've always liked things like that.

^^B5^^

LOTR fans will get it.

^^B6^^

^^B7^^

I've always thought this very funny.

But I just noticed that he's rolling the wall with light paint yet there's a dark paint can (not roller tray) on her stomach.

BTW that shadow on the wall was very effective.

^^B8^^

^^B9^^

You can't imagine how many people send me shit just like that. It's right out of the Klan playbook.

^^B10^^

I would keep a very close eye on my ticket.

^^B11^^

^^B15^^

Imagine being Billy Zane in Titanic you think you’re going on a nice little romantic trip, 5 minutes later your girlfriend is sleeping with someone else, the boat’s sinking and you’re racing about the place with a gun thinking why is this my life now.

WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT

"What the fuck are you looking at?"

- both bird and human probably

^^C1^^

Amethyst Crystal From Australia

^^C2^^

She even has horizontal shelf lines.

^^C3^^

^^C4^^

That reminds me of a book I reviewed. It was written by a young woman who traveled with carnival stripers for a year. The stripers would come out on the stage naked and go so far as to let men in the audience lick their vaginas. Their number one complaint was the men who insisted on biting their clit.

^^C5^^

Still, John Brian King

Post clit bite?

^^C6^^

^^C7^^

I think she had her books turned into movies with the same stipulation as Larry McMurtry with Lonesome Dove. Not one word of the dialogue in the book could be deleted from the movies.

^^C8^^

Her name.

My father had a secretary named Anita. She married a man with the last name of Dick. Anita Dick. I swear.

^^C9^^

Ships of all kinds. Fishing boats lose nets and other gear. Cruise ship dump (or used to dump) raw sewage and garbage in the water.

^^C10^^

The cars on the bus go round and round...

I think he was pissed off by being cut off by the bus so he decided to get even.

^^C11^^

That's amazing!

^^C12^^

Some fish are really fast...

^^C13^^

Some fish are just lucky...

^^C14^^

I wonder why it thought that was an escape route.

^^C15^^

^^C16^^

The internet has ruined me.

^^C17^^

I need professional help.

^^C18^^

They are correct about the kkk origins.
https://www.history.com/topics/reconstruction/ku-klux-klan
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan

Founded in 1865, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for Black Americans. Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation and violence directed at white and Black Republican leaders. Though Congress passed legislation designed to curb Klan terrorism, the organization saw its primary goal–the reestablishment of white supremacy–fulfilled through Democratic victories in state legislatures across the South in the 1870s.

C9: I knew a woman named Crystal who married a man with last name of Ball. Thank God her son, Harry, kept his birth father's last name.

True story.

Dear Anon,
This may come as a complete surprise to you but...I am not a moron. I know all of that...I watched Forrest Gump!
But can't we all agree that both political parties have morphed in the last hundred years? The parties have changed and blacks paid attention and they voted with their feet and march straight out of the Republican Party and straight into the Democratic Party. Blacks know a human truth that many whites seem to have missed, to wit, that was then, this is now.
Choosing a political party by what happened a hundred years ago is like choosing a country to become allies with over what they did in the past...Oops, England.

Dear Ball Anon,
When I heard the story her last name was Lear and her first name was Crystal. Her middle name was Shanda.
I was in the Air Force with a kid named Quinton Ball and he was and will be called Q Ball his entire life.
