About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

RELATIONSHIPS

^^B1^^

Leftist = Exes

^^B2^^

And...

^^B3^^

Luckily when I moved out of my house at my ex's request my friend was that very day moving out of his very cheap one-room rental so I moved right in.

^^B4^^

^^B5^^

I'm all in favor of spicing things up and if that doesn't work then try something else.

^^B7^^

You can always tell the couple who has been reading

 the Kama Sutra.

^^B8^^

Be careful what you laugh at.

^^B9^^

Maybe "slave girl" was just a cute nickname for his lover.

If you refer to your air guitar using air quotes, does that mean you have a real guitar?

RATHER INTERESTING PEOPLE

 Remember this classic karma?

Wait for it...

^^C2^^

My dear friend, Kent, graduated from Northwestern the went to work for the Chicago Tribune. And he fell in love with the Chicago Cubs and attended hundreds of games, each time wearing a baseball glove in hopes of catching a foul ball. After moving to South Carolina to become a newspaper editor, he went back to Chicago twice a year to attend a doubleheader. And on one of his last trips he caught a foul ball.

^^C3^^

It was stated that it was really him riding on public transportation. After what happened to John I find that extraordinary.

^^C4^^

When I saw this I toyed with commenting on how dangerous her pose was, then I scrolled down.

^^C5^^

He was a very special man.

^^C6^^

^^C7^^

^^C8^^

Nothing but admiration.

^^C11^^

My brother advised airmen on financial matters. He said that to build up a credit score, they should take out a store credit card (that they will give to anyone) then buy a few things and pay it off immediately. Then they can use that credit history to obtain a regular credit card.

^^C12^^

Southerners have a loathing for pronouncing the "ow" at the end of words. We say folla and tomorra. And really, who's to say we are wrong? Pronouncing it "follow" was just made up by somebody a long time ago.

^^C13^^

After some light googling, it appears this is actually true!

OBJECTS OF INTEREST

From the legs it looks as if she has a baby with her - a baby that she will kill you to protect.

^^D1^^

What would I do?

I certainly wouldn't stand there and take a picture.

^^D2^^

^^D3^^

There's a lot about cars I don't understand.

^^D4^^

I simply don't need that kind of thrill.

^^D5^^

I may have read that wrong, but it looks like they built stairs so they could reach the chains on the fan - instead of lengthening the chains.

^^D6^^

^^D7^^

They sort of look like old cell phones don't they?

^^D8^^

I wonder if he was a barber who became an artist or an artist who became a barber.

^^D9^^

At what point do we just declare a fad DONE TO DEATH and let it die with dignity?

^^D10^^

Art Without Intent: The Found Object show is an awe-inspiring collection of found objects. The MoMA website defines found object art as "An object—often utilitarian, manufactured, or naturally occurring—that was not originally designed for an artistic purpose, but has been repurposed in an artistic context." I'm attracted to found objects that spark a sense of wonder and curiosity, which is what this collection inspires me. I have no idea what this object is, but it looks vaguely like a cement foot with teeth coming out of it, and it's pretty awesome. See more on their website.

^^D13^^

We had one of those in our neighborhood. The problem is that considering rain, cold, heat, or wind, it could only be opened a dozen times a year.

A3a: ... and they don't even know how to hang the American flag.
For those reading this who don't know, the field of blue always goes in the upper left hand corner.

Puzzletime: This one took me WAY too long. I was caught up on the first image thinking it was Pita bread. I finally googled "types of flat bread" and immediately solved it.

Non Habit Forming

First image is a "Naan", which is a type of flat bread
Second image is a habit - also a stickler at first as I was thinking "nun".
Third image is Yao Ming. There are four of him = four-ming

I can finally go back to work now.

A3: And for some reason they don't want to release the detailed results of their clinical studies. Also the CEO didn't take his own vaccine for an extended period. (His Claim: Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla hasn’t been vaccinated against Covid-19 because he is “healthy” and doesn’t want to “cut the line”.) Your opinions on the vaccine is just like everyone else believing in the invisible man in the sky. Bless your little heart.
