About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Hardly a pinko leftist.

^^A1^^

When Elvis first appeared on TV there was one (1) TV set in my neighborhood and we all walked over to that person's house to watch him.

^^A2^^

I called my first bar The Bank because it was once a temporary bank made of a double-wide mobile home that was placed in the parking lot while they built the permanent structure. They first built the safe that looked very much like the one above then lowered the building down around it. The old bank building was just moved to our site and we opened within days. We cut down the existing counter to bar height and it already had two bathrooms.

^^A3^^

^^A4^^

I seem to remember that Paris has a law that forbids any building in the city limits from being built taller than the Eifel Tower. I wonder if that's still true.

^^A5^^

Many people will look at the following photographs and say things like, "It's just a woman sitting at a table" or "It's just a guy in a cap", but I assure you they are much more than that.

Are any of you people photographers? If so, send me some of your stuff. I would love to see it.

^^A6^^

My mother told me that my father was obsessed with leaving his children a legacy but what he meant was money. He wanted to leave us money. We didn't need money. We wanted him to share with us the things he loved. But my father loved money the most.

^^A7^^

That reminded me of the petite music teacher who would have disruptive students in her class and all she had to do was pull this out of her drawer and prop it in the chalk tray in full view. She never had to use it.

^^A8^^

^^A9^^

Long ago I swore off posting anything about these types of morons but these are just too funny to ignore.

^^A10^^

A baby is never a "surprise" or a "mistake". You had sex without a condom. What did you expect, a plasma TV?

*That took me too long.

Just like our birthday, we all have our deathday every year without realizing it.

The airport is the only socially accepted place where you can act like a homeless person without looking homeless.

Somebody has fallen and got an object stuck in their butt and nobody ever believed them.

WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT

^^C1^^

Tool or master?

^^C2^^

How very unusual.

^^C3^^

^^C4^^

I'm afraid to ask what's on it.

In India, over 65,000 people a year die from snake bites.

A peak experience nonetheless.

I too want to leave my children money as my legacy. But i think you may be missing the point.I dont know what his situation was, but to me "Money" means no debt. I want to leave my children money so they might be able to live without having to have debt.

I can attest to what it's like to live a life under a soul crushing debt. It does change you, and robs you of experiences that you can have with your children and family.
