That actually telling on myself. I regularly handled det cord and should have realized it.
We used it to set of explosions to destroy unused nukes in case the Soviets overran the base. You had to you a very fast "fuse" so that the first explosion didn't know the charge off the remaining missiles. With det cord the blasts occur more or less simultaneously.
