YOUR CHEATING HEART
Sorry.

A giant hole the size of Maine or Lake Superior has suddenly appeared on the surface of Antarctica and scientists are not quite sure how it came into being. “It looks like you just punched a hole in the ice,” said atmospheric physicist Kent Moore, a professor at the University of Toronto’s Mississauga campus. The sudden emergence of this hole, for the second year in a row, has confounded scientists, whose access to the site is limited.

This looks extremely dangerous.

Superbowl?
While in graduate school, the university art department brought in a traditional native potter from, I seem to remember, Nigeria. She made a coil pot similar to that, but not that big. She did it incorporating a little shuffle dance as she rotated around the pot. And I will never forget it.

Dear parents, we are not only bigger than children, we are smarter than they are. With that in mind, I once found two towels on the bathroom floor. I just waited until 1am, woke my daughter up and told her she had to hang them up. I then told her that I would wake her up every time she discarded them improperly and she never did it again.

US Marine gives candy to Japanese child at Internment Camp - WW2, 1944
I've hit on this before, but I think it should be said again. Sure we locked up all Japanese during a war WITH Japanese, but I don't think it was so much because we feared them, but rather to protect them. Can you imagine three brothers getting word that their brother had been beheaded by a Japanese guard and then you look at your next door neighbor who is himself Japanese. And forget about the fight and/or death that would ensure, think of the law enforcement resources that would be expended.

A FEW THINGS THAT IMPRESSED ME
In 2012, physicists at CERN used the Large Hadron Collider to smash two proton beams containing trillions of protons at nearly the speed of light and generated temperatures up to 5.5 trillion Kelvin (or degree Celsius, it doesn't really matter at that level). To compare, the temperature at the center of the Sun is 15,000,000 degrees Celsius.
The record was merely a side achievement. The scientists at the LHC were/are actually studying a state of matter that existed milliseconds after the Big Bang. They are doing this in an attempt to understand more about the beginnings of our universe and how states of matter, that we are generally aware of, came into existence. The experiment (called ALICE), created this state, which is called Quark-Gluon Plasma, where quarks are the building blocks of neutrons and protons, and Gluons are the particles that are responsible for the force between these quarks.
Normal plasma is when you have heated things to an extent where they go from being gasses to a mixture of electrons and protons, like on the surface of the sun. Quark Gluon Plasma is a level higher where you have crazy amounts of energy and have heated stuff to a point where the neutrons and protons break down into individual quarks.

Two odd anagrams;
CLINT EASTWOOD = OLD WEST ACTION; and
SCHOOLMASTER = THE CLASSROOM.
Regarding the mowers: it's not especially dangerous. Passing traffic is slowed and they're Swedish, so they actually know how to drive (compared to us, anyway).
Why not regular mowers: you don't drive up insurance premiums and/or die by driving heavy machinery along a slope and you gain the versatility of a boom mower (see the video your gif came from here here; notice how they negotiate a guiderail at around 2:50).
Also: we didn't intern the Japanese (or Germans, ftm) for their protection, we did it because we were racist and suspicious. Search for "Yellow Peril" or investigate John DeWitt's copious commentary on their loyalty.
