About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

PERSONAL UPDATE
Still doing well. Lots of food. Eating well. I'm watching some good movies but I hesitate to recommend them because my tastes are...singular in nature. Neighbor shopped for us today.
We are so lucky to have cash enough to get through this without scarring. I think about my friends whose income has evaporated and they have to get through this anyway. I just hope they have friends and family to assist.
My friends know the Bank of Ralph is open to those who need it.
Saving 25% of toilet paper usage by cutting down on the number of sheets per wipe and wrapping my daily wet wipe in a newspaper after soiled.
Hearing today that some black people thought their race was immune to this virus reminded me of the last conversation I had with one of my bartenders who happens to be black. The day I was to enter isolation I shook his hand and told him to be careful and he told me that he was immune and being new to the whole thing I shrugged and said maybe it was like those with sickle cell being immune from malaria - something I had learned years ago but now know is false. The question is - why wouldn't all the scientists let black people know this fact? Well, of course, it wasn't a fact and they believed some unnamed guy on the internet over the experts. Sound familiar?
Stay safe, Gentle Readers
