PERSONAL UPDATE

I have three major concerns.

#1. When You Reach the End of Quarantine in April Just to be Told You Also Have to Stay Home Through May.

What if that happens again at the end of June...then July? Oh, I will make it, but modern people aren't prepared for such emotional disappointments. And I fear the majority of people will just say Fuck it and go about their business as usual. If that happens this bullshit could stretch on for years...until it has killed all the people it could. Which brings me to this:

#2. If people who have recovered from covid-19 can catch it again, then it will go on for years! We all need for that not to be true. Without herd immunity, then what's the fucking point of prolonging the inevitable? A vaccine? We have never been able to make a vaccine for a coronavirus. Let's all wish the researchers luck.

#3. We could run out of food.

Meatpacking plants are closing due to infections. Farmers are plowing under their crops due to the lack of buyers. Milk is being flushed down the drain (literally) because there are no buyers. At the same time, millions of people are hungry. Many millions of them have never before received a handout of any kind.
Governor Cuomo wants to change this and hook soup kitchens up with the farmers and such but that should be a federal responsibility.
