WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

Think about that for a minute. Let it sink in. It's important.

Many Americans believe that because of our immense freedoms we are allowed to equate our opinions to scientific facts.

FACT: Masks save lives.

We all know just how this guy felt:

Had you told me a decade ago that half of Americans would simply refuse to wear a mask while our nation is being ravished by a pandemic I would not have believed you. I would have said something like: "Oh, we have a bunch of uneducated yahoos in this country but even they don't want to die."

Well, I would have been wrong. We ARE that stupid. The anti-science bias of this country is staggering. No amount of expert testimony or data or deaths will sway stupid people from their misguided opinions.

A pandemic being fought around the globe is a hoax. Do you remember who put that insane notion into the heads of countless gullible Americans? You better remember. We vote on November 3rd.

(PS: That is not an expression of hate. That is a fact.)

What it feels like trying to convince my covid-is-a-hoax readers to pay attention to science and not Qanon websites.

Please think about this without seeing it through your political lenses...

If Biden had done this I would criticize it with the same enthusiasm. Dangerous is dangerous no matter who perpetrates it.

Sounds like common sense to me.

It's no mystery. Rich people donate to the campaigns of politicians who will pass laws that will enhance the donor's wealth. I know it. You know it. But we feel powerless to stop it.

I do not give Biden a pass on this travesty. I don't give Obama a pass. They all play the same game and the average American gets screwed.

This taxation is not an attack on anyone's freedoms. It is merely atoning for past sins.

THEM AND US

Many people believe that for someone else to get something then they must lose something. It is not that way. If the police could be convinced to stop killing black men then we white people give up nothing. If everyone is allowed to vote your vote still counts the same.

Remember when it was said that if gays were allowed to marry then people will be marrying pets and farm animals?

(I was actually looking forward to the wedding feast at one of those.)

But the point is - taking a rather straightforward correction of injustice to a fabricated untrue conclusion is an ancient tactic that works only on the most stupid among us.

Oh, look, here's another one...

An example of a lack of empathy.

Having empathy is not a weakness. It used to be just who we were as Americans.

Lately, I have seen ample evidence that Americans remain deeply racist people. I got over that shit a half a century ago and I know, as a fact, that if you want to change you can. Black people are not your enemy.

To judge black people with the same yardstick as us white people is missing the point.

If a child must have a computer and Wifi to be educated but they can't afford either then the outcome is assured...failure.

Donald Trump is not all bad. I like the wall on the southern border. I like easing some of the more insane regulations. I like NATO members paying the amount they agreed to pay. I could go on.

I am a proud Independent. I don't think either party is infallible. I believe that both parties have some good and some foolish ideas.

Fuck BLM, Inc. I don't give a fuck about that organization. I give a shit with righting a wrong - that wrong being the violence perpetrated against black men (mostly) by the police.
But I have had people contact me who are actually fearful that if BLM was allowed to exist it would somehow seize the means of production and outlaw private property. Seriously.

Well, I had to give up beer over having low sodium caused by excessive urination. Now red wine fucks up my stomach pretty bad. So I'm now alcohol-free.

Saving a bunch of money though.
