FOOD FOR THOUGHT
When I moved into my house my next-door neighbor had a daughter in middle school. This is her today...
With her GRANDSON!!!
I still find my age astounding.
I used to be concerned about people who hate people who are harming no one. I couldn't understand their insistence that others conform to their standards since it goes against everything America stands for. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness can take many forms. I would dare say that the path takes a different form for every single American.
Then I realized that the persecutors think that everything is about them. To wit, if they don't like it then it must be wrong and if it's wrong it must be prohibited.
I've mentioned my nephew before. He lives on a large pond full of fish, hunts deer on his property, and has a garden, bees, and chickens. If shit hits the fan I'm going to go live with him. But he once told me that the best thing you can do to prepare yourself for real emergencies is to get to know your neighbors. I agree.
Young people are not all just a bunch of whiners. The game has changed from when I was young and they are being challenged like never before.
I know you've heard it before but how strange that it's illegal to charge for something that is legal to give away. I've never understood why anyone would care if a woman charged for sex, albeit the role of the pimp can be problematic.
"These mines self-destruct after 4-48 hours.
Ukraine's counteroffensive appears to be underway and Kyiv's forces are attacking Russia's positions with Western-made tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery, and other weapon systems that could force them into a retreat along paths that might be mined."

I seem to remember that in The Art of War, he advised that you should always leave your enemy an exit otherwise they would fight until the death by necessity.
If (when) you finish first, just ask,
"Now, what can I do for you?"
Not me. I loved listening to children tell stories. I would always sprinkle in some questions to increase their vocabulary. Questions like: Was it debilitating? That certainly wasn't optimum. Was his behavior reciprocal? Then when they asked what it means I related the answer to their story.
The best revenge is none.

OBJECTS OF INTEREST
The inner workings of a pool table
I once read that the perfect color to paint the walls of a sports bar was billiard table green. I actually got up under a pool table and snipped off some of the felt to take to the paint store to have it matched. And that particular color green IS perfect for a bar...or man cave.
I imagine those come in handy in automobile museums and collector's garages.

Multiple people with multiple keys. Smart.
Speaking of...
Kind of negates the whole purpose.
Could that be real?
I'm a big fan of plants that overcome the odds.
Ambiguity like that can get you on a list.

HUMAN ACTIVITY
It was stated that she could see.
I did that also. I filed the eagle out of a coin like this and had it mounted on a Zippo lighter.
You gotta love that guy.

And a great segue...
If you’re out and you see a heart attacking someone you’re allowed to make a cardiac arrest no questions asked.
Before her first coffee, my wife tried to check her email on a Pop-Tart.
CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL
Once I start getting enough images to form a section on a specific topic I collect them all with little quality control. Therefore, some of these may be subpar.

I've often said that with enough steak scraps, I could teach my dog how to talk.

It may not be the case, but it looks like his captivity has driven him insane.

School Districts are that way. Management just keeps hiring themselves more and more helpers while denying teachers any aides.

What conversation occurs when both parties are lying? PILLOW TALK
^^A5^^
Even more perplexing is doing it in front of a camera and selling it to millions of people as porn, all of a sudden it's legal again...

Why are the sleepers (ties) in a zigzag configuration? Never in my life seen that before.
Dear B6 Anon,
Please explain what you mean.

Observations and Opinions
I always said "Do you want to speak to the man in charge or the woman that knows whats going on?"
Dear B6 Anon,
Please explain what you mean.

I was going to give you a link to a wikipedia photo but upon visiting the wikipedia page I answered my own question!

A3:
I have a relative who lives on about 20 acres, with a pond, garden, chickens, goats, etc. He is a bonified prepper and is prepared for the apocalypse.
I asked him how he was going to defend his property and family from the masses.
You see, he lives about 20 miles from a major city (5+ million metro). If all hell really does break loose, he will be overrun in a matter of weeks.
EVERYONE in the city will be looking for relief, and his place is basically within hiking distance.
EVERYONE will pull up Google Earth and start heading for the farms and water sources.
Dear A3 Anon,
And that is exactly why you need all of your neighbors on your side. One man can't protect shit, but twenty well-armed people can hold off an army.

B7: I found the image in a Taiwanese news article. Below is part of the translated text which explains.
When the authorities came to inquire, the owner of the car, an engineer, said he initially parked on the street, but was repeatedly fined for illegal parking. Annoyed, he hired a crane to bring 2 cars to the roof.
In fact, car owners do not drive these cars often, but mainly use them for storage, according to EBC News . This guy actually put the car up there for a long time, only after the neighbors found out.
Of course, the authorities asked him to leave the car somewhere else, because it was illegal to park on the street, but parking on the roof was no better. Although parking on the roof does not violate any law, it affects the safety of people.
Dear B7 Anon,
How interesting. When I was in Germany, many people kept their cars in their garages and only bought insurance by the day when they had somewhere to go.

A5 a 70 year old man marrying a 25 y/o chick is no different. It's a mutual agreement, he has money and she'll fuck him for it for the rest of his dying days. -Armando
B5 hardly a defence for 45 thousand pounds coming to a halt to just flatten that headboard like your hand crushing aluminum foil -Armando
Dear Armando,
The trick is to never let it get moving. You butt the pipe against the guard. It's like leaning on a car to keep it from roling, but once it gets moving it's impossible to stop.
