Bless us and save us says Mrs. O'Davis!
Since this is the sole evidence that anyone in cybertown gives a shit about their humble host and his art piece I was thinking of saving it in a frame so that I can gaze upon it when I need my faith in humanity restored.
Here is the accompanying card:
Funny guy. He's got his own blog if you are interested.

Martha Gellhorn - the only woman who landed on D-Day 1944
She couldn't have done it without those pockets.
At this point, women have a 100% survival rate on D-day. We gotta step our game up men.

I've adopted that philosophy.

It has occurred to me that very few can survive unaltered. You do what you gotta do but don't overdo it.

Corporations control American politicians via lobbyists and campaign financing (and less legal means). It's really that simple.

Straight guys seem obsessed with making gays the butts of their jokes. No pun intended.

Seminoles, Braves, Chiefs seem okay with me, but Redskins?!? I don't think so.

I used to target practice in an illegal dump next to a train track and once a guy stopped by with a flare and asked, "Have you seen a train pass by here?" We had not so he placed the flare in the road where the train was due. After the train past, he just left the lit flare in the middle of the road.
That's back when we didn't care so much about people dying a fiery death because we were running a little late.
^^C8^^
Doesn't that look like a fun way to get exercise?

And this very day I had a nuclear engineer who works Westinghouse nukes sit next to me at the bar and he had never heard of it. Do with that information what you will.

I couldn't agree more and remember, I'm somebody who WANTS to believe.

I watched a clip of an "artist" paint this in about two minutes.
One of the best artists I have ever met moved to New York to "Make it". To pay the rent he got a job in what he called a "paint factory." Each of the dozens of artists in the complex was delivered as many canvases as they requested, the tubes of colors, and brushes as he needed, then each would (in their own style) very quickly paint every canvas with, say, sky background, then trees, leaves, etc until they all ended up more or less like the above. But every "artist" had their own style and none of them were exactly the same. So Walmart sold them to you an "Original" and you bragged to your neighbors about your find.

1944: June 4: Capture of German Submarine U-505 now on display at the Chicago Museum of Industry and Technology
It was from that boat that we got our hands on our first Enigma Machine, thus allowing us to decipher their code.
Think of the lives that saved. But I read that many convoys were sacrificed so as not to alert the Nazis that the Allies knew what their plans were.

Maybe for children, but if men played there would be a knife fight in the first frame.

I had a friend who went all the way through under and graduate school with me and he used to by as may cheap art prints from thrift shops as he could find. He manipulated them in various ways. These are not his, but they remind me of him.
