My brother was a bass fisherman. After he retired he and a friend traveled to lakes all over the South - spending a fortune. Then it occurred to him that if he was a professional bass fisherman all those expenses would be tax-deductible. So, he and his buddy became pros and after a couple of years, he called me to tell me he won $5000. I asked him what he was going to do with the money and he told me he had already bought a new $100,000 bass boat.
