PONDERABLES
By now you ought to know how I feel about any of the 5000 Gods, but I know for sure that people who believe this: Genesis 3:16 in the Bible lists one of the judgments for Eve's sin as pain in childbirth: "I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor, you will give birth to children" should never be put in charge of the rest of us.
Does that quote sound like something the creator of the entire universe would say? I mean, are we to assume elephants feel no pain when birthing an infant as large as a Volkswagen?
I hate no one because of where they came from, the color of their skin, or even their religion. You have to demonstrate that you mean harm before I will turn on you like a mad dog.
Speaking of...
I've given this a lot of thought, but if we can accept the story in the Bible about the enslaved Jews in Egypt, they never gave up their religion. Unlike the descendants of black slaves in America who are the most Christian of all Americans. I need somebody to explain that to me.
How can he even be a thing? Maybe it's just so many people have a real need for somebody to follow that they just ignore his greed.
I have asked many times but have never had a taker to explain to me why anyone would give a shit about another person being homosexual. Why, exactly, would anyone give a shit?
We’re only a few years away from being arrested for crimes we haven’t yet committed based solely on an analysis of our Google search history.
Or at least I am.
GET LEARNT
A friend of mine once made me a grill cheese sandwich filled with a half dozen types of cheese and cooked on a waffle iron and it was the best I have ever eaten.
Male dolphins regularly leave rake marks on each other as well as females.
They do it for a number of different reasons such as establishing order in a pod, or during mating season. Most of the time the marks they leave on each other are only temporary.
As you know, Macaulay Culkin was a child star best known for Home Alone.
Then his life went downhill, he turned to drugs and alcohol. Just last week, he walked the catwalk for Gucci.
I'm actually thrilled by his recovery.
I've done similar things a thousand times. The secret is to keep the exact same pressure on the brush. Examples of my own cutwork:
Crisp ain't it?
I once watched a documentary that gave plenty of evidence that this was the shape of the cross that Christ was said to be crucified upon. The researcher pointed out that trees around that area were not very large and even the large timber obtainable would be used for the construction of ships and buildings. Also, a telephone pole-sized cross would require a very deep hole to anchor and that ground would make that problematic. The crux of the argument was that to kill common thieves and such the government would not spend the money to erect very expensive killing structures.
There is a high tensile strength mortar that is used in such structures.
How mRNA vaccines work
This clip is from a 1913 documentary about the Ainu, an ethnic minority in Hokkaido, Japan.
Somebody offscreen has clearly just made a good joke.
Full film here, thanks to the British Film Institute:
Why don't all the plugins just use a common extension cord?
The first golf cart I owned came with a heavy step-up transformer. From that ran a heavy plugin unit to recharge the cart. My next one came with a transformer built into the cart so I just stick it in the female end of a normal extension cord. Why is that option not a solution to the need for thousands of recharging stations?
I’ve got something stuck in my tooth, but instead of flossing, I think I will just drive myself nuts all day by trying and failing to get it out with my tongue.
AMUSEMENT
My British friend hates shit like this as much as I do...
*Notice the author.
Pay attention...
I saw a Seinfeld episode about that very thing.
Gemini: Please stop touching the Amulet of Unceasing Regret. It’s not a toy.
WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT
I would spend my entire life laying on my back and staring at the ceiling.
So, what's that all about?
Amazing.
This white yak in Tibet.
I haven't a clue but I'm going to assume there is a nearby pond that flooded.
You can't imagine how long I tried to incorporate that into the previous item about the X-shaped cross...but it just wouldn't work.
Fucking squirrels.
Fix your gaze on the center. Watch the red/green dot flicker and the yellow dots will disappear.
This is called "motion-induced blindness".
You will probably have to enlarge this. I found it fascinating.

^^A5^^ Richard Dawkins, coined the word, meme, in his book The Selfish Gene. His original concept was "an attempt to understand why some behaviours, from an evolutionary perspective, seemed to make no sense but, somehow or other, were found to be very common in human societies. As Dawkins emphasised, natural selection is a ruthless judge of its subjects and any frailty, physical or behavioural, is almost inevitably rewarded by a rapid exit from the gene pool. It therefore followed that any widespread behaviour, prevalent in a thriving population, no matter how immediately inexplicable, should give some advantage in terms of gene survival. Continued research aimed to understand the reasons behind animal behaviours has yielded results that are entirely consistent with this thesis." https://richarddawkins.net/2014/02/whats-in-a-meme/
Human brains and the minds that erupt from them are wildly irrational despite our wishes otherwise. A-theism is (imho) a rational attempt to counter memes that are inherently emotion-laden and therefore very powerful. It's a Sisyphian battle. Scientific studies have shown that emotions are stronger than reason in the generation of human behavior (and probably all other animals as well). The religion meme in general is about as powerful as they come, and some memes are more likely to prevail than others, just like genes, which is where Dawkins was starting from when he came up with the meme meme.
Antonio Damasio's book, Descate's Error, is an excellent explanation of how emotionality overrules rationality in human behavior.
^^B10^^ Capitalism 101.

I don’t need you to talk tough on behalf of ethnic minorities, like me. I can stand for myself. No matter what you say or do, being white means, you still have inherent racism and bias. My ancestors helped build this country from the sweat on their backs while facing racist abuse. My children and I objectively face systemic racism even today. You can keep your words.
Just acknowledge your white privilege and give me money.
Thank you for your attention.
Dear Doctor D',
No, I don't think I will.
RH
Fair enough.
LOL.
Dear Doctor D',
I got a rambling condemnation of CRT that read just like it had been taken straight out of the Klan playbook. I tried to respond but ended up telling the guy that I thought you should respond to him. It won't come out until Dec. 15 and if I may be so bold I would really like to read your thoughts on this matter.
