One Of My Very Own
PART ONE
Two friends were the editor of the newspaper and editor of the Op-ed page and they invented a fictitious literary organization just so they could march drunk in the St. Patrick's Day parade.
To each his/her own.
I would prefer to be the one without the paddle.
How very clever.
No major wars since its creation.
I often watched the crowd during competitions just to see the different emotions.
Alternate construction hypothesis...
I knew a guy who bought a hot air balloon and soloed in it even though he had never even been in a hot air balloon before. He crashed it in some guy's backyard and knocked over a section of privacy fence. The property owner helped my friend repair the fence and even loaded the balloon in his truck and took him home.

Curious why you use 'his/her' instead of 'their' which is commonly used?

Dear A3 Curious,
The old saying is "To each his own" but it was about women.
