About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

The madam opened the brothel door in Winnipeg and saw a rather dignified, well-dressed, good-looking man in his late forties or early fifties.
'May I help you sir?' she asked.
'I want to see Valerie,' the man replied.
'Sir, Valerie is one of our most expensive ladies. Perhaps you would prefer someone else', said the madam. 'No, I must see Valerie,' he replied. Just then, Valerie appeared and announced to the man she charged $5000 a visit. Without hesitation, the man pulled out five thousand dollars and gave it to Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, the man calmly left. The next night, the man appeared again, once more demanding to see Valerie. Valerie explained that no one had ever come back two nights in a row as she was too expensive. But there were no discounts. The price was still $5000. Again, the man pulled out the money, gave it to Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, he left. The following night the man was there yet again. Everyone was astounded that he had come for a third consecutive night, but he paid Valerie and they went upstairs. After their session, Valerie said to the man, 'No one has ever been with me three nights in a row. Where are you from?'. The man replied, 'Ontario'.
'Really', she said. 'I have family in Ontario.
'I know.' the man said. 'Your sister died, and I am her attorney. She asked me to give you your $15,000 inheritance.'

My good friend, Fran, came upon this during he and his family's trek west...very similar to Debbie and mine. He sends me updates almost daily and I look forward to them eargerly. And, of course, this is what the natives were suppose to do and I admire that. But as stated before, these same people raped, skinned, buried alive, and just plain fucked up EVERY OTHER PERSON WHO HAD THE LAND THEY WANTED.

I think they need to move #7 to #1...which now is "Remain Calm". Yeah...I see a mushroom cloud and the first thing I will do is remember that poster and, no matter what, I'm going to remain calm, which is extremely difficult with shit streaming out of my pants legs.

Speaking of such, I assume we all know by now that it is only a matter of time before a true nuclear explosion or "just" a dirty bomb is detonated in a major city in America. But that is not what I would like to discuss. My query is this:
More than 50% of the US population lives in the cities. If one (any) of these cities is attacked successfully, what do you think the population will do? Will they realize that major cities are targetted and get out? Will they stay and take their chances?
I predict that there will be a mass exodus....unless...
If it could be proven, by whatever means available, that the bomb originated from a certain country and then we launched just enough nuclear weapons of our own to render them impotent for...oh...EVER, then the people might stay in the cities.
However, President Obama has stated to the world that if we are attacked, we will not launch a retaliation.
Any opinions you have on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Whether allowing muslims to build a mosque near Ground Zero is culturally insensitive:
I think building a church in Salem, Massachusetts is also insensitive. I mean that's where the Salem Witch Trials took place. We can't allow Christianity to gain a foothold in a place where they terrorized so many. Even peaceful Christians have forfeited their right to pray in that city.

This is a super-realistic painting. There are a whole lot more equally impressive, but I assure you that it was done with a brush and paint...
