About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

I don't know what a Freudian slip is and at this point I'm afraid to ass.

HISTORY

I ran across this image and began to think about spending weeks and weeks hauling everything you owned across every kind of landscape you can imagine.
I research the subject and came up with this.
What shocked me about that was the heavy ass stove, but then I read the insert.
And almost all the wagons followed the same basic design.
I had thought there would be countless types, but apparently not.
I did find this alternative method of power.
I can only assume that training this beast took a lot of time and probably involved taking possession of it when it was very young. But you would think - if it worked - it would have been often enough for us all to be aware of it.
So then you finally get your family to the land you claimed; but I am going to assume none of them knew how to build a house. A log cabin or such may appear primitively easy, but I can assure you it is not. Take a look at this house and consider it was a mansion compared to most to them in the neighborhood.

New Drinking Game: Take a drink every time you hear someone say something you don't like. I last almost 23 minutes.

CAPTIONS

My wife has taken up gardening. I'm rather proud of the old girl.
---
I think people are born with a deep desire to know the secret that no one else knows. Crystals fall into one of those secrets that people so want to be true that it blinds them. Pyramids are also. And fad diet. And not vaccinating you child. Homeopathy. And prayer, just to name a few.
It's a miracle we (mankind) made it this far.
Maybe that's why we haven't found any advanced civilizations - went they get as smart as us, they start believing in so much bullshit pap that they end up killing themselves.
---
That's one smart sumbitch.
---
Just for a moment I want you to imagine in 1864 or so, a man buys a camera and spends hours every day taking pictures of himself. This man would have been committed to an institution. Today that is normal. That don't make it good just because everybody does it.

This was the clip that had the caption:
Poland - The Mexico of Europe
I still don't know what it means, but at least I didn't lose the clip as I feared.

If you had a dollar for every time you masturbated, what color would your Ferrari be?

ART and ARTISTS

Matisse at work on 'Bathers by a River', 1913
I haven't the words to tell you how beautiful I find that to be.
---
Michaelangelo left several unfinished sculptures. The work above reminds me of those.
---
 ---
You think that is made out of a cane?
---
 I love it!
Dripped and splattered paint?
I just find it amazing that a high class joint like that would allow it.

I child walked over and said, "When I grow up I want to have a mustache like yours." She was talking to my wife.

PEOPLE

Pay attention...

 ---
Wife-eating motorcycle...
Just another reason you ain't never going to see me on one of those damn devil devices.

---
Ladies and gentlemen, North America's laziest man...

---
Haven't posted any headlines lately...

I find the term "making love to" inappropriate. Perhaps, "performing sex act on."

---
Somebody cut of the ears and nose of this dog.

Anybody who would do that to a dog...for fun, would have no problems fucking you up for, say, your money.

<>
Who would win a game of chess: A man who can see the future or a man who can read minds?

NAUGHTY BITS

I knew a young woman who went to art school to learn how to be a Medical Illustrator. I thought of her when I saw this.

How much does a Big Mac cost?
Your dignity.

THINGS THAT STRIKE ME AS ODD

Guy on the corner stays remarkably calm...like he didn't even hear it coming...
But if I'm not mistaken there is a man on a motorcycle in front of the building who didn't move a muscle.

Ever wonder what games Southerners play at their family reunions?
I think those beers are unopened. Damn.

Who would have thought that the corporation worked to keep their minimum wage employees.

Freedom of conscience is difficult. Does it make a difference that the bakers and florists (and other service & goods providers) are conducting business, whereas President Trump and his family are (now) in the business of policy-making? Is one an act of public protest or political dissent, versus the other a discriminatory act? "These other weddings are all cool, but yours is unholy (aka wrong!) 'cuz my book and all my friends say so?"

I don't think it's a motorcyclist in front of the demolished building - its shadow doesn't conform to that. I can't tell what it is, but it seems to be a fixed object.

And the beer cans are opened. We can see the beer pouring out as they roll away from her hulk-smash boobs. Do you suppose she broke that foreground table plank in the practice run?
