About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

Let's try that again...

LED ZEPPELIN - IMMIGRANT SONG

NEWSY BITS

Fucking Oregon.
What wrong with you people?

===
This is insane, folks.

===
DOCTORS?!?!
Has our once great country gone completely insane?
"After an outbreak of measles at Disneyland, California lawmakers had enough and passed SB277, banning kids from attending the state's schools unless they were fully vaccinated, and eliminating the waiver that let parents put their kids and others' in danger by signing a form stating that "immunization is contrary to my beliefs.""

THINGS THAT MADE ME SMILE

Talk about your captive audience.

We're all going to be working for this guy one of these days...

Who doesn't think a huge tiger throwing up is funny?

Speaking of...

===
Party chocolate fountain didn't work out.
Reminds me of "2 girls 1 cup."
And always remember to enema before butt sex.

===
Mad Max beyond the playground

===
Sea turtle found wrapped in $53 million worth of cocaine.
If he had eaten one of those bags, headline would’ve read, “Turtle seen hydroplaning across ocean!”

===
Sting watching and listening to his song being destroyed...

Want to hear this crime against ears?

Trainy McTrainFace

ARE WE ALL RACISTS?

Here's a list of a few things that have been called racists.

Question: Deliveries from the pizza restaurant have areas of the city that their drivers are not allowed to deliver. These areas are all black neighborhoods. Is that racist?
I'll let you decide. What if you found out that the residents of those neighborhoods were 16 times more likely to call the police. What if a single police officer is not allowed to drive through those areas - there must be two of them. What if your insurance company told you they would not insure the drivers if they delivered there?
Still think it's racist? Would you stop your car in those neighborhoods, get out and walking around?
I didn't think so.

"...and if you look straight ahead folks, you'll see the female human preforming her awkward mating dance...possibly for the first time."

An Indian wedding.

Open in another tab for more awkward dancing.

I called the child abuse hotline. A kid answered, called me a fat cunt, and told me to fuck off.

YOU SHOULD LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAMN DAY

A friend of mine was the Editor of the largest newspaper in South Carolina at the time he decided to stop smoking. He left a pack of cigarettes and a light on his desk and carried the pack and lighter everywhere he went...but he never touched them again. When I was still writing...and reading a lot, I asked him about the tediousness of describing the scene, specifically a scene in a book I was reading that detailed the interior of a bar down to the number of bar stools. He said, "Okay, a guy walks into a bar under an elaborate crystal chandelier....or a guy walks into a bar past the torn forty year old boxing poster on the dingy wall. Just give the reader good enough hints and they can figure out the rest." That's excellent advice.

The Concord was the first aircraft with fly by wire. You turn the wheel, then the computer tells the plane what to do to accomplish that. There is no way to over-stress how important that is in modern aviation.

Two bigger villains never existed.

===

===
The mid-19th century vogue for flowing, diaphanous women's garments made from open-weave fabrics like "bobbinet, cotton muslin, gauze, and tarlatan," combined with gas lighting, candles, and open fires meant that it was extremely common for women to literally burst into flames: on stage, at parties, at home. So flammable were these garments that when other women would rush to the aid of a blazing friend, they, too, would go up in flames. Among the women who died this way was Archduchess Mathilde of Austria, who hid a cigarette behind her back when her father walked into the room and caught fire.

A mind as brilliant and dedicated as this deserves to be acknowledged.
At 24 years old, she’s publishing research on black  , gravitational forces and the nature of space-time. This is Science which will drive innovation for humanity. Please have some respect.

But most of us have self-doubt.
You owe the world nothing.

Seen from a distance Earth seems like a going out of business pet store.

I'M NOT EASILY IMPRESSED, BUT...

High school boys honor retiring teacher with moving Haka.
Even better with sound.

This movie started off great.
Then it devolved into a giant shoot em up. So many movies with great potential fall for that cliche.

How windy is it?
Where I lived in Oklahoma, most of the trees on the plains leaned in the direction of the prevailing wind.
