Valentine's "News."
A dear young couple was sitting next to me today and she showed me her diamond pendant and said, "Look what Dylan got me." I looked at him and said, "For Thanksgiving?" He corrected, "You mean Valentine's?" And I said, "Not if you cherish your woman. She said, "Oh, that was so sweet." To which I answered, "I've been married a long time."

"But it was the revelation that the supervisor of the unit instructed officers to carry a toy gun just in case they found themselves “in a jam” and needed to plant one."

About 3200 years ago, two armies clashed at a river crossing near the Baltic Sea. The confrontation can’t be found in any history books—the written word didn’t become common in these parts for another 2000 years—but this was no skirmish between local clans. Thousands of warriors came together in a brutal struggle, perhaps fought on a single day, using weapons crafted from wood, flint, and bronze, a metal that was then the height of military technology.

not sure if your comment on curling about Budweiser was based on experience or the appearance of competitors...
The fact is Curling clubs compete with each other at "Bonspiels" which are day long drinking events. My observation was that drinking was just as important as curling.
Curling is a better sport than most realize!
