About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

Whataboutism, also known as whataboutery, is a variant of the tu quoque logical fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument. Whataboutism is particularly associated with Soviet and Russian propaganda.

I once read that you can tell the economic health of a city by the potholes.
If true, that city is fucked!

Scanner for Blind People
I got to thinking about how blind people tell the difference between a can of beans from a can of soup, say. Then I thought about a small screen that sits on the kitchen counter and acts like a grocery store scanner. The blind person holds the can in front of the screen, rotates it, then when the screen detects the barcode speaks the contents.

I miss the eighties when the biggest problem was saving the local youth center with a break dancing fundraiser.

I don't know but I looked it up and it's real.

Puzzle Time: B has more water. The paper clip displaces the least amount of water. It's a tough call on which object displaces the most water - the scissors or the watch (assuming it's waterproof.)
