About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

PEOPLE

^^B1^^

Have you ever seen a player run all the way around the table during a game? Watch this...
^^B2^^

Inglourious indeed.

You won't believe this.
He should have something carved into his forehead just for wearing that outfit.

Here's a hint for all you non-movie viewers...

"Jens Haaning was asked to recreate two of his previous works: 2010's "An Average Danish Annual Income" and "An Average Austrian Annual Income," first exhibited in 2007. Both used actual cash to show the average incomes of the two countries."

I would like to meet that guy. We have a lot in common - money art and larceny.

^^B4^^

Dress for the slide, not the ride.
^B5^^

Hell, Megan could do that WHILE projectile vomiting pea soup.
^^B6^^

Do you think that was planned?
^^B7^^

^^B8^^

The wife and I spent a month in Europe with only a backpack carry-on each.
^^B9^^

Would you look how happy I am... reality, dead inside...

*I do not smile on demand...never have.

PLACES

"Occasionally, as various orbiters make their rounds of Mars, they spot their ground-based friends far below. In a new image from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), Perseverance has made a guest appearance. From hundreds of kilometers above the red planet, the rover appears as a tiny speck in the South Séítah region of the Jezero Crater."

(It is the white dot in the middle.)

Chicago skyline was visible in a sunset from 50 miles away, Indiana Dunes.

That just ain't right, Y'all.

THINGS

^^D1^^

^^D2^^

^^D3^^

 Peanuts aren’t nuts, but legumes

I never knew they grew like that.
^^D4^^

Have you ever wondered why nests aren't full of baby bird poop?

Chicks in some species poop via a "dung sack" which is easy to remove for tidy housekeeping.

^^D5^^

Some barn swallows built a nest under the eaves and hatched four babies!

...that was apparently delicious.

^^D6^^

Turning your head so far that you get outside the airplane.
^^D7^^

I read that it is an American breed.
^^D8^^

Beautiful technique.

Now, look at how they look when smaller...
The human brain does that without being taught.
