NEWSY BITS....
In my opinion, there is a way for somebody to make a whole lot of money from fucking with the internet. And they have the money to buy the politicians, so we, like always, will lose.

The top
0.1% (consisting of 160,000 families worth $73m on average) hold 22% of
America’s wealth, just shy of the 1929 peak—and almost the same share as the
bottom 90% of the population.
Because the bottom half of all families almost always
has no net wealth, the share of wealth held by the bottom 90% is an effective
measure of “middle class” wealth.
So, I have a question for you all. What percentage of wealth held by the top 0.1% would it take before you demanded change? Seriously...think about it. What if they got...90%? Would you then take to the streets? I'm very curious about this. What would it take to piss you off?
Many states
have passed laws limiting how much of your stuff the police can steal when they
accuse you of a crime, but the Department of Justice has the solution for local
cops: they will "adopt" a local seizure, making it federal and
exempting it from state-level corruption controls.

To be fair, there's arguably a LOT more evidence in Ghosts and Aliens than there is in a God. You don't see shows called God Hunters or God Adventures.
I think a lot of people are pissed off about wealth inequality. However, we're really not sure that taking to the streets with pitchforks and breaking out the guillotine is the best way to deal with it.
How about torches and pitchforks to force sane taxation laws?
I’ll leave this anonymous but you asked, but I do take exception to the demonization of the “rich.” Rich is a VERY subjective term…
My wife worked her way through college and after years of paying off her student loans, now makes $85K. Her first job after college was for $16K per year. I never went to college but after 30 years of progressive experience and military service and training, I now make $130K. We have worked our asses off, making sacrifices and working long hours to be where we are. My first job in my industry paid $7.08/hour and I was happy to get it. Many (most) would say our income of $215K per year + investment profit income of $10-50K per year makes us the evil rich.
While we may not be the .1% you speak about, I can tell you that many of us that work hard and pay our dues; are what the U.S.A is all about. Many will tell you that we are the problem…we make too much money and should be taxed more… The fact is, that we are supporting the county in our taxes and our consumption. I agree that many people work hard and long hours and will never be able to make the money my family makes. I also know that my wife and I choose career paths, received education and/or training to get the jobs that are not as limited. We are NOT your problem. It already is a FACT that even though I wish to start a business on the side to keep trying to better my family, today’s U.S.A. makes that dream impossible. I can’t afford to make more money. If I take 3 steps forward in today’s U.S.A., I only gain .25% and soon to go negative. There is no longer any incentive to continuous strive to do better, regardless of where you are today. That is why people can’t afford to get off welfare or spend another $100K on a degree to get taxed 110K. Most of the very rich (.1%) earned their wealth. They are not trust fund babies. Let’s stop preaching penalties for working hard and penalizing success. These people already pay the vast majority of the taxes to provide programs to the “less fortunate.” Even though these less fortunate folks would rather demand more handouts than work hard in whatever job they have (or get off the couch and get a job), in order to get to a better place; one small step at a time.
I think I’ll just start being lazy and take what the government lets me have… And complain on what the top .1% have that I don’t. But what I really mean is the top $10% (those families making over $100K per year (sic)).
$250K a year does not make you subject to my wrath. $250B a year gets my attention. Those are the people who buy politicians who will pass law after law to lessen their tax burden.
I am sorry if you misunderstood my condemnation. I am not a poor man. My wive's stores do very well, but you can't blame the decrease in the middle class' worth on them being lazy.
The game is rigged. Oh, I understand that a guy making $250B pays more taxes than you, but if it's more or less at the same tax rate, that's pitchfork worthy, in my opinion.
Do some research and look at the tax rates the super-rich paid when we were growing up.
Then look at the way stocks are bought and sold in miliseconds by super-computers and you will know we, the ordinary men and women, are cut out of the system.
I really thank you for your passion. I know hard work. I know spending 5 years in college working two jobs to learn how to do something people were willing to pay me to do. I detest lazy people as much as you. But the system is not broke...it has been designed to insure the rich gets richer, which, logically, means everybody else gets poorer.
