FUN WITH LANGUAGE
NOTE: I don't know why but today all my sites were filled with language gags.
Most people know that artillerymen end up deaf as a post but that's also true for flight line personnel.

Think about each and every pandemic mitigation measure:
I taught a kid named Lutherque. It was pronounced Laquentheus. True story.
And...
*I have a woman who lives in my house who does that.
When I was stationed in Germany, I got off work at 4pm, went to sleep until midnight, then went out to all the clubs and made it back just in time to go to work at 7am to work on nuclear weapons.
Don't you just hate it when that happens?
*I had my first child at 25 and I didn't feel all that in control.
There are two types of people in this world:
1) Good people
2) People who honk immediately when the red light turns green.
Rich people’s advice basically is like: Go be rich and follow your dreams while saving 90% of your salary.
WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT
I think he just had to pee really badly.
My niece sent my wife a bit about cracking an egg for breakfast and it had two yolks as did the second and the third egg. Finally, she looked at the carton to discover this...
I had no idea they sold those.
I then reminded my wife of the novel I had written titled "Double-Yolked Egg Man". After a few minutes, my wife told me that she had told my niece about the book and come to find out, all those years ago I had given the book to my sister to read and my then-young niece read it also, remembered it in detail, and loved it. That made me want to start writing again more than anything I have heard in a long, long time.
I've been known to drink wine out of iced tea tumblers.
I haven't mentioned how much I love good bread in a long time.
I really, really love good bread.
ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE
A team of researchers reconstructed two family trees spanning several generations during the Stone Age. They used genetic, archaeological, and social anthropological methods to analyze the remains of more than 100 dead individuals buried between 4850 and 4500 B.C.E. at the Gurgy “Les Noisats” cemetery in central France. One of their most surprising discoveries: men in these Neolithic families lived and married near their homes, while women came from communities elsewhere; the researchers suggest women left their families and place of birth to reside with their reproductive partner elsewhere.
What this means: Some women were distantly related to one another. Presumably, they could have come from the same outside community. This suggests partnerships between men and women of different communities helped to form alliances and closer ties.
What the experts say: “This is a milestone for understanding how societies were structured in the past,” says archaeologist Philipp Stockhammer of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

I agree with the speculation that Stonehenge was built for multiple purposes but one of them was for young men to find wives from other clans during their annual get-togethers.

There is an urban legend that he inspired the Apple logo.
"But as compelling as it is, it simply isn't true, according to the designer who created the logo, Rob Janoff. “I'm afraid it didn't have a thing to do with it,” he said in 2009. “It's a wonderful urban legend.” Janoff says the single bite out of the Apple logo originally served a very practical purpose: scale."
The world’s oldest moss has lived through ice ages and mass extinctions and endured age after age of natural warming and cooling. But now the climate is warming too quickly for it to adapt.
They grow it inside the bottle.
The U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy's race to develop and eventually deploy 6th-generation manned tactical jets, as well as unmanned combat aircraft to go with them, has quickly risen to the top of the priority lists for both services. These aircraft will be packed with cutting-edge technologies and features. While tailless, extremely stealthy, and highly efficient airframes with long-range and large payload capacity are commonly discussed when speculating about these still secretive crewed designs, one element that doesn't get much interest but is arguably just as important, has to do with how they will sense, communicate, and jam.

^^B8^^ It could also mean that young men went on foraging expeditions to kidnap women from other tribes or groups and bring them back home to mommy and daddy.
