During the height of covid, I got countless comments lamenting the stupidity of masks, isolation, vaccines, etc. I always asked these people what exactly they would advise we do to mitigate a pandemic that was claiming thousands of American lives a day and not one of them responded.
They want us distracted. Nobody really cares about all of our petty differences but some feign outrage because their leaders tell them they should.
I will never forget watching a TV news show one morning several years ago and the woman was all excited because Amazon was going to start selling other things besides books. The male anchor asked what kind of things they would sell and the woman stared into the camera and said, "Everything."
I will say that I buy from Amazon. One of the biggest reasons is that we have had our credit card hacked several times when we shopped around but not once since we switched exclusively to Amazon.
All those years in college I never called myself an artist. I was always an "art student". Then I sold out a showing at the art museum (the only artist to do that) and from that moment on I referred to myself as an artist and it made me exceedingly joyous.
But it wasn't so much the money I made from the sales. Rather, it was the fact that so many people wanted to look at one of my paintings for the rest of their lives.
As silly as you Christians find that, is the same way I feel about you living in a mansion on a street of gold when you die.

I did some work for two young women who were opening a breakfast cafe on Main Street downtown. I told them about Breakfast In A Cup I had eaten in Georgia. A Solo Cup is half filled with grits, then scrambled eggs are added to almost fill the cup, and then topped off with a round sausage patty. You eat it straight down was a spoon.
Well, they offered those at their cafe and they were so popular that those were all they sold for breakfast.
