I made a little piece.
I rolled a two-dollar bill around a pencil which I inserted inside a piece of clear plastic tubing and capped it off with a wooden button. I had everything I needed and knew I should do it when I discovered that they fit precisely in an old cigar box I'd had for 40 years.

If you treat it as one big line with plus signs between each line, my calculations says it equals 12. (multiply first, then add)
