About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

PART ONE

Indeed.

Tsunami or movie set?

The window framing the big kid matching the box on the head of the little kid is nice.

^^A3^^

I think it got ripped off the top of a truck.

^^A4^^

^^A5^^

What a magnificent defense.

^^A6^^

I think it's to slow the water flow or maybe a fish ladder.

Mating is afoot.

Remember when beauty mattered in places where you lived your life?

^^B6^^

Oh my.

I had a long talk with a man who was on the Voyager I advisory panel and he told me that EVERY signal we receive expands mankind's knowledge - even if the message is "Nothing happened here" because we didn't know that before Voyager.

The former.

Energy dissipators are located at almost every structure that water flows over and is greatly needed. Without them, the water gains momentum and when it hits the bottom, can dig into the ground or cause major issues downstream when it hits the normal water way. Energy dissipators come in various designs.
