About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

TUESDAY #3213

One Of My Very Own

Going up to the spirit in the sky.
How could you NOT dance to that song? You there...looking at the screen, let's get those hands in the air...move those feet. Show some joy in life for goodness sake.

NEWSY BITS

"Where did all the stars go? What used to be considered a hole in the sky is now known to astronomers as a dark molecular cloud. Here, a high concentration of dust and molecular gas absorb practically all the visible light emitted from background stars. The eerily dark surroundings help make the interiors of molecular clouds some of the coldest and most isolated places in the universe. One of the most notable of these dark absorption nebulae is a cloud toward the constellation Ophiuchus known as Barnard 68, pictured here. That no stars are visible in the center indicates that Barnard 68 is relatively nearby, with measurements placing it about 500 light-years away and half a light-year across. It is not known exactly how molecular clouds like Barnard 68 form, but it is known that these clouds are themselves likely places for new stars to form. In fact, Barnard 68 itself has been found likely to collapse and form a new star system. It is possible to look right through the cloud in infrared light."

And...

"Two teams of astronomers have found a way to observe the presence of the missing matter connecting the galaxies in the universe. This discovery can improve our understanding of how galaxies were formed in the years following the Big Bang."
Here's the whole article:

My Gamecocks won, my Green Bay Packers won, my Nationals are still alive for a huge pay off, and....my grandson won his second  big NFL pool in 5 weeks. That son of a bitch is good and he's only 2 years old!!!

This is my wife when I point out reason like that that she get UTIs.
Any of you fine people out there got any advice? I'm getting desperate here.

===
Good luck with that, old buddy. I'm not sure you can hold this generation accountable for the last generations sins. What I mean is, how about we go back in Poland's history and access penalties on shit you did years ago?

I've observed that great sex sounds the same as running in flip flops.

HUMAN SEXUALITY

Years ago a janitor somehow turned around the peep hole in a hotel door and filmed a naked female sports reporter standing in her bathroom.
I found it on line just to see what all the fuss was about. After about ten seconds I switched it off, feeling very much like a peeping Tom myself.
That aside, she turned to the mirror and slapped her ass like that.
Question: Do all women do that? And if so, why?

===
It's called tongue action, and it's important.

But with my wife...

===
Whaaaaat?

Some countries have much laxer rules about public displays of affections than others.

Kinda looks like his dick is playing a guitar, don't it?

All my jokes are cries for help.

LET'S CALL OUT STUPID PEOPLE

So if I buy a hot dog and don't like it, then Sonic stole my money? Sorry, but that kind of talk is dangerous.

===
There are those who CHOOSE to be stupid. This too is very dangerous.

===
I chalk this kind of shit to trolling. To purposely try to get a rise out of people.

===
I'll let this speak for itself.

===
Of course, I hold my greatest contempt for people who blindly believe a myth handed down to them from their parents, who weren't all that intelligent to begin with.

===
The internet is full of misinformation like this.

===
In my opinion there is no worse crime than harming children.

===
Conspiracy theories are fun...I guess. But just remember that the whole Nixon administration was brought down because nobody could keep a secret about breaking into an office...ONE OFFICE! The highest office in the land...ruin...and all they had to do was keep their mouths shut.

===
That, Gentle Reader, is a focused man.

===
Too stupid to feel fear?
Question: Wouldn't it extinguish itself if you just shut the door and unplugged it so no new air could get in? I'm serious. Wouldn't it?

===
Let's take another look at a man who is not having a good day.
And my guess is he doesn't have a very fullfilling life. That poor bastard thinks that he can actually change people's driving habits with a few rude gestures.

Why do women sound like they are having an orgasm when they play tennis? And why does my wife play tennis in the bathroom?

GIVING HUMANS THEIR DUE

New Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Many complains that the money was wasted. But just like the $700 hammer they left on the moon, the money wasn't flushed down a toilet. It was simply taken from all of us and handed over to the guy who made the hammer. Money doesn't die, it just gets recirculated....back to us the people what supplied it.
The worse stadium I've ever seen is in Dallas. They have windows at the end of the field that allow the setting sun to sweep down the field blinding the players. That absurd!

===
Remember those guys building a medieval castle with primitive tools that I posted months ago?

It's coming along famously.

And remember I suggested that the secret to building a beautiful stone wall was to have many rocks to choose from?

===

In the article there was this image.
In the military barracks I stayed in, the commodes were situated like this, only close enough that knees almost touched. Try to take a shit with another guy sitting that close. Everyone brought reading material...and I mean everyone.

===
All kinds of theories why they would build these in the first place. I like to think that they did it because they liked to do it. It was there party game when they all got together. Maybe there was a competition between to groups to see who could either finish first or who could do the best job. There is no need making up some mumbo jumbo mystic bullshit.

===
What I'm saying is, I bet the Egyptians, Romans and other building empires knew tricks just like this.

French daredevil, François Gissy hit 207mph after only 4.8 seconds of acceleration on his Rocket Bicycle.
That looks like a fun way to die.

How clever.

I haven't mentioned lately the immense respect I have for Banksy. His best trait, in my opinion, is his addressing social injustice. How very, very noble for such a brilliant artist.

PART 2: First you have to flatten the rock and put lightning inside it.

THINGS THAT MIGHT BE TRUE

Cooking
Is that true?

===
Hey, kids, it's worth a try. Let me know...seriously.

===
I would think they both lie down belly to belly.

===

===
True? Fuck I don't know, but it seem plausible.
And let me explain another thing. It would take me the better part of a day to research whether that is true or not. I'm not all that good at research. If you know any different, let me know and I will correct it immediately.

RH - Just think for a moment about all the developed countries who, realizing that their citizens are the country's most important resource, commits to tending to their health needs. I don't care you political stance, but their IS a way to deal with this that excludes making drug companies and insurance companies rich. Think. Put the propaganda behind you and think for yourself.

Heya Ralph,

Difference between Nixon's day and today is that back then journalists and police were investigative. Nowadays, they're a lot more political, motivated by something other than truth.

Sad fact is that today, even with mountains of documented evidence, most proof of conspiracy is rejected, the source smeared, and adequate spin applied to avoid further public scrutiny.

I agree that keeping secrets so big is a monumental task - though it is much simpler to let the secrets hide in plain sight amongst other competing theories that have been propagated to obscure truth and increase the workload / bring ridicule to those who seek it.

The truth is out there more than it ever has been, shrouded in more lies than have ever been repeated in commercial "news". One of the byproducts of the surveillance state is an enhanced capability to quash inconvenient narratives.

Heya SMK,
Would you please send me an example of a conspiracy that you think is true.
