About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

Georgia student suspended after posting a photo of a crowded school hallway says it was 'good and necessary trouble'
Kids who have been sent home from school for having the wrong hair color and/or too long socks: ‘this is bullshit’.

THE STATE OF THE UNION

The truth about masks they don't want you to know:
 ===

Anti-maskers are literally killing us.

 And...
===

 ===

 ===

That's true. I used to spend half a day organizing and pre-posting my blog. Now with two daily posts, every waking moment is filled with blog making. I will be very glad when the news settles down to normal.

Imagine the U.S. with a competent leader, a House of Representatives and Senate with integrity, and term limits, who weren't allowed to take outside contributions from special interest groups and lobbyists.  What if they actually worked together for the good of the country rather than to argue about every damn thing under the moon?  What a different world we would live in if that happened.

Winning my ass!

You pay $500 a month for health insurance. Your employer matches that. The $1000 a month goes to the insurance company. When you go to the hospital the insurance company pays the bill. Does that sound about right?
Well, that method leaves billions and billions of dollars of profit for the insurance companies.
Doesn't it make more sense for you to keep your $500 AND the $500 match from your employer then pay more taxes so the government could pay the hospital. No middle man. No profits for insurance companies.
And remember, we have it already and it is universally cherished. It is called Medicare.

The behavior of people to this pandemic with bodies filling refrigerated trucks tells me that the population WILL completely ignore an invisible climate crisis.
===

When the next pandemic hits in 2120 it will be a piece of cake. They will just do the opposite of everything the US did during this one.
===

Would you demand that the federal government take immediate action if 5 airliners crashed every day? Well, we are losing that many of our countrymen to covid every day, and yet we plod along as if nothing is happening.

Trump has told you...to your face...that anyone who wants a test can get one. That was, is, and will be a lie until we change administrations. Oh, wait, I forgot, it's just going to disappear. Because it's a hoax.
You Trumpers believed him. Now he's telling you that your children are immune. After being so wrong for so long how can you risk your child on the assurances of this proven liar?
===

The last refuge of a scoundrel.
===

===

Fox News deriding of Biden when he said months ago that Trump was going to try to delay the election. Now that is exactly what he's doing.

When are people going to get it through their heads that climate change has been happening for billions of years with no humans present? Just like the magnetic poles changing, with no human cause. Call me a denier...I call you a hoaxster.

Would you please take the time to explain to me WHY NASA, the UN, NOA, etc, etc, etc, would want to spend so much money and time to fool you?

Your argument is like saying that asteroids have hit the earth in the past so the one coming now won't hurt us. Deniers seem To lack any deep thoughts on the issue.
