About Me

My photo
I'm an artist, educator, militant anti-theist , and I write. I gamble on just about anything. And I like beer...but I love my wife. This blog contains observations from a funny old man who gets pissed off every once in a while.

LANGUAGE FOR ALL OCCASIONS

 I had to ask one of my young friends - That's the band "The Cure."

Here are some other suggestions:
- Every kitchen has a stranger or relative in it who wants to talk to you.
- Everyone's opinion you disagree with actually turns out to be correct.
- All your funny comments are repeated louder by someone else, and they get all the credit.
- Living in an arid country that’s is on fire, where everything wants to kill you, eating a diet that gives you the runs but no toilet paper.

MORE SERIOUS MATTERS

History is full of odd moments. Times when what goes on seems to utterly fly in the face of what we expected.

 It's called hydroplaning. It will happen when the puddle is deeper than the tread on your tires and the exact speed required is 9 X the square root of your Tire Pressure.
I learned that in one of the defensive driving classes the Air Force made me attend because I was more or less a fuck up.

Think of all the maintenance that roadways require. Surely there is a better way to surface streets.
Maybe there's hope after all.

So now solar power is "socialist"? We have a president who fosters that "us and them" mentality...just like Putin wants.

1H = 1 10
2G = 10 9
3F = 7 11
4E = 100 4
5D = 0 101

The lines alternate with a decimal number and a binary. 2G and 3F set the pattern:
2 in binary is 10.
9 minus 2 is 7. 3 in binary is 11.
7 minus 3 is 4. 4 in binary is 100.
4 minus 4 is 0. 5 in binary is 101.

The letters themselves mean nothing.
